Tomato Market:
The tomato market is ratcheting up this week. Mexico production is very light and Florida growers are finally realizing the effects of the recent bloom drop. Prices have risen slightly and we anticipate them to remain high until at least next Wednesday or Thursday after production restarts.
Organics: Supply is beginning to increase again and quality is looking better than in the last few weeks. The quality of organic Romas is especially good.
Heirlooms: Supply is hit-or-miss. Increased demand for the holiday weekend has provided a bit of a spike in pricing. Heirloom quality has been a challenge, but because supply is light, product has been arriving relatively green, allowing for a few extra days shelf life.
